In Memoriam
Paul Pettibone
August 25, 1955 to May 31, 2025
Vice President, Surplus Equipment Company
Paul served as Vice President of Surplus Equipment Company until his passing in 2025. His work touched every part of the business, from the fabrication floor to sales, installation, and management. The customer relationships, standards, and craftsmanship he built over his years with the company are the foundation everything we do today rests on. GondolaFixtures.com launched after Paul was gone, but this platform exists because of the company he helped run.
What We Do
We specialize in genuine Lozier gondola shelving systems, supplying everything from individual replacement components to complete store builds. Our catalog covers uprights, base brackets, base decks, shelves, rails, back extensions, and the full range of gondola accessories. We ship nationwide.
What separates us from a typical fixture catalog is the depth of planning support we offer. Every qualifying gondola order includes a free CAD store layout design, produced by our team before your fixtures ship. We configure the run, spec the components, and make sure the order is right before anything leaves the warehouse.
The Fixture Intelligence Framework
Methodology by Dan Pettibone, The FixturesPro.
Every GondolaFixtures.com project runs through the Fixture Intelligence Framework, a proprietary, performance-driven store-planning methodology that treats fixtures as behavioral infrastructure rather than equipment. The premise: shelving decisions should be measured against how the store performs, not just how it looks.
The framework organizes planning around five pillars:
- Flow Engineering. Traffic paths, decompression zones, and destination anchors are mapped before a single fixture is specified. If flow is wrong, fixtures amplify the problem.
- Visibility Architecture. Sightlines, endcap exposure, and margin visibility are engineered so high-value categories cannot be hidden. If it is not seen, it is not bought.
- Adjacency Strategy. Category placement is treated as basket-size architecture. What customers see together, they buy together.
- Merchandising Leverage. Eye-level, reach-level, and impulse zones are assigned by intent. Shelf height is strategy.
- Performance Optimization. Every fixture is evaluated against measurable outcomes: sales per linear foot, conversion, dwell time, margin exposure. Every fixture must justify its square footage.
The full framework is documented at The FixturesPro, with pharmacy-specific applications and step-by-step application guidance.
How We Work
We are a family business, and that shows in how we operate. We are almost always reachable by phone or email, and the person who answers knows the product. Customers who started with us years ago keep coming back because when something comes up, a freight question, a replacement component, or a layout change mid-project, they can reach someone who can actually help.
We are not a drop-ship marketplace. We are a fixture supplier with real product knowledge, real availability, and a direct line of communication from first quote to final delivery.
Our Platform
GondolaFixtures.com is built around the tools retail buyers and store planners actually need: a live product configurator with a 3D component viewer, a full component catalog with pricing, a free CAD design program, and a quoting system built for B2B volume orders. Whether you are outfitting a single location or rolling out across multiple stores, the platform is designed to reduce the time between planning and purchase.
