Lozier Finish Colors: Standard, Catalog, and Matching Existing Fixtures

Complete Lozier finish colors guide: Platinum, Cool White, and Charcoal ship in 1 to 2 weeks; Optional Catalog Colors ship in 8 to 10 weeks. Includes finish code decoder, matching guide for existing fixtures, and live Builder preview.

Every Lozier gondola component carries a two- or three-character finish code inside its SKU that determines two things buyers care about most: what color the fixture will be, and how long it will take to arrive. This guide covers the finishes we ship the fastest (typically 1 to 2 weeks from the Riverton distribution center), the full Optional Catalog Colors palette (typically 8 to 10 weeks), how to read a finish code out of a Lozier SKU, and how to identify the finish already installed on your store floor when you need to match it.

The two finish tiers at a glance

For ordering purposes, every Lozier finish falls into one of two operational tiers. The tier drives the lead time on your order.

Standard tier (typically ships in 1 to 2 weeks)

The following finishes are held in local inventory or covered by Lozier's Standard Finish designation and typically ship in 1 to 2 weeks from order acceptance. Availability is subject to on-hand stock at time of order; large orders may still quote at a longer lead time if inventory needs to be built.

CHRCharcoal1-2 weeks
W08Cool White1-2 weeks
WHTWhite1-2 weeks
GRYGray1-2 weeks
SILSilver1-2 weeks
GLVGalvanized1-2 weeks

Optional Catalog Colors tier (typically ships in 8 to 10 weeks)

Every other published Lozier finish is produced in batches per order. Lead time is typically 8 to 10 weeks from order acceptance. Optional Catalog Color pricing is confirmed on the quote (colors and laminates not listed in the Lozier catalog carry set-up and per-job charges per Lozier terms). The palette is organized into four named collections plus laminate and melamine board finishes for shelf decks and back panels.

How to read a Lozier finish code inside a SKU

The finish code appears after the dot in the vast majority of Lozier SKUs. Two worked examples:

  • BB2206S.CHR reads as Base Bracket, 22 inch depth, 06 base height, Spring-locking, in CHR Charcoal.
  • TL422N.W08 reads as Tilt-in shelf, 4 foot width, 22 inch depth, standard duty (N), in W08 Cool White.

SKUs without a dot are either hardware (raw galvanized) or generic-prefix components that ship in whatever finish the parent order specified. Our full Understanding Lozier Part Numbers guide walks through the SKU pattern component-by-component.

Matching the finish already on your store floor

This is the single most-asked question we get from buyers expanding or repairing a store that was originally built years or decades ago. Three methods, in order of reliability:

1. Check your original order paperwork

The most reliable answer is on the invoice or pack list from the original order. Every SKU on that paperwork carries the finish suffix after the dot (for example BB2206S.CHR). Cross-reference the suffix against the tables above and you have your answer without ever needing to leave the office. If the store was built by a previous owner and paperwork is not available, use one of the two methods below.

2. Send us a daylight photo

Take a shot in natural daylight (not fluorescent or LED) that includes a base bracket, an upright, and the face of a shelf in the same frame. Include something white-balanced for reference if possible -- a printed piece of standard 8.5 x 11 white paper works. Email the photo to us with the store address and the count of sections you need, and we will identify the finish against our reference library.

3. Send a physical sample piece

For high-stakes color matches (new-build sections dropped into a decade-old aisle), the safest path is to ship a small physical sample -- typically the back of a base end trim or a piece of shelf that would not be visible if removed. We will match against Lozier's color chip library and confirm the code in writing before quoting.

If your existing fixtures pre-date 2015, the color is likely one of the Classic Collection legacy paints (WHT White, SIL Silver, GRY Gray) rather than the modern Cool White (W08) or Platinum (PLT). Older stores rarely match to the newer Standard tier -- expect an 8 to 10 week lead time on any match order.

Ordering considerations for mixed-finish runs

  • Mixing finishes on one gondola is fully supported. Accent end caps in a Color Collection paint, contrasting shelf decks, or metallic Industrious upright caps are common design choices.
  • Lead time follows the slowest component. A run with one Optional Catalog Color component and eleven Standard-tier components will ship together at 8 to 10 weeks unless you request a split shipment.
  • Split shipments are available on request. Standard-tier components can ship immediately with the Catalog-tier components following in 8 to 10 weeks. This carries a second freight charge but gets your store partially open sooner.
  • Structural performance is identical across finishes. Weight ratings and dimensional tolerances are set by the part number, not the finish. Lozier's standard 1-year manufacturing warranty applies equally to Standard and Optional Catalog Color orders.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between W08 Cool White and WHT White?

Both W08 Cool White and WHT White are Lozier Classic Collection whites in our Standard shipping tier (1 to 2 weeks). W08 is the newer clean white used in most current Lozier builds; WHT is the legacy white kept in production for matching stores that were built before Cool White was introduced. If you are matching an existing installation, the safest path is to send a daylight photo or a physical sample and we will confirm which of the two your store uses before you order.

How long do Standard and Optional Catalog Color orders take to ship?

Our Standard shipping tier covers Platinum (PLT), Charcoal (CHR), Cool White (W08), White (WHT), Silver (SIL), Gray (GRY), and Galvanized (GLV). These typically ship in 1 to 2 weeks. Every Optional Catalog Color, laminate, or melamine outside the Standard set is produced per order and typically ships in 8 to 10 weeks. If you order a mix, the whole order ships together on the slowest component unless you request a split shipment at order time.

Can I order a Lozier gondola in a color that is not in the catalog?

Yes. Lozier offers a color-match service for retailer-specific colors identified by 3-character alphanumeric codes (S04, A79, 3OB have appeared on prior orders as examples). Truly custom colors and laminates outside the published palette are subject to set-up charges and per-job charges per Lozier catalog terms. Send us a physical color sample or a Pantone reference and we will get a match quote back to you.

What is the Lozier warranty on the finish?

Lozier's published product warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for one year from delivery to the original purchaser, under normal use in climate-controlled environments. The warranty covers repair or replacement of defective parts; long-term color hold beyond the warranty period is not published by Lozier. If you have a fade or coating concern in an installed store, contact us with photos and the original order paperwork and we will work with Lozier on the specific case.

Is BCP Chrome Plated available on structural gondola components?

No. Structural gondola components (uprights, base brackets, base decks, gondola shelves, rails) ship in powder-coat finishes only. BCP appears in the Lozier catalog on wire-basket brackets and specialty display accessories. If you need a bright metallic look on structural parts, the Industrious collection offers Sparkle Silver (QH3) and Silver Vein (Q88) textured metallic paint finishes.

How do I read the finish code in a Lozier SKU like BB2206S.CHR?

Finish codes appear after the dot in most Lozier SKUs. BB2206S.CHR reads as Base Bracket, 22 inch depth, 06 base height, Spring-locking, in CHR Charcoal. Shelf SKUs use the same pattern (TL422N.W08 = Tilt-in shelf, 4 foot width, 22 inch depth, standard duty N, in W08 Cool White). Our Understanding Lozier Part Numbers guide walks through the full SKU pattern with worked examples.

Can I return an order once the Optional Catalog Color has been produced?

Custom finish orders and configure-to-order items cannot be canceled once confirmed per our Terms of Sale, and items shipped factory-direct are considered special order and are not returnable. Standard finish orders with a Return Goods Authorization and original packaging are subject to a 35 percent restocking fee plus outbound and return freight. See Terms of Sale for the full policy.
