What is the difference between a Top Rail, Center Rail, Bottom Rail, and Splicer Rail on a Lozier gondola?

Each rail type serves a distinct structural role in the gondola section. The Top Rail runs along the uppermost connection point between two Uprites, the Center Rail spans the mid-section, and the Bottom Rail anchors the lower run. The Splicer Rail separates and supports two stacked back panels in two-piece back applications (78in and taller sections) and must match the section width.

How do I know which width Lozier gondola rail to order for my store?

The rail width must match the section width of the installed Lozier Uprites in your gondola run. Lozier rails in this catalog come in 24, 30, 36, and 48-inch widths. Check your existing section width before ordering, because a rail that is even one size off will not seat correctly in the Uprite slot pattern on both ends.

Lozier gondola rail finish codes for existing store match

The two most common finishes in existing retail installations are Platinum (PLT) and Charcoal (CHR). W08 White is prevalent in pharmacy and health and beauty sections. If your installation uses an Optional Catalog Color such as GRY, Q88, or QL6, expect an 8 to 10 week lead time on replacement rails. Call 800-934-6798 to confirm finish availability before committing to a timeline.

Lozier rail width selection guide for gondola sections

Rail width must match the section width so the rail engages both uprights fully. This catalog covers rail widths of 24, 30, 36, and 48 inches, matching Lozier standard section widths. Order the same width for Top, Center, and Bottom Rails within a section; one Center Rail is required per section, and sections with back panels 96 inches or taller require a second Center Rail per the Lozier catalog. Center Rails reinforce Uprite spacing; shelves engage the Uprite slot pattern directly, not the rail.
