The base deck is the lowest shelf tier on every gondola run, spec the correct depth and load rating upfront or you will be retrofitting brackets and decks after installation.

- HDSD (Heavy Duty S-Style Deck) depths: 19, 22, 25, 28, and 31in (no 13in or 16in in Heavy Duty)
- SD flat load rating: 600 lbs at 13-19in depths, 800 lbs at 22-31in depths
- HDSD flat load rating: 900 lbs at 19in depth, 1,200 lbs at 22-31in depths
- SD widths: 2ft, 30in, 3ft, and 4ft (must match section width). HDSD width: 4ft only per catalog line 1929; HDSD is not offered for 3ft sections (see catalog note 1924).
- Load Easer Base Brackets bring rated deck capacity to 1,100 lbs (13-19"D) or 1,300 lbs (22-31"D) evenly distributed.
